Ajith Kumar's prestigious Billa prequel is finally ready to take-off. If reports are to be believed, the movie will hit the floors on June 20.Billa 2, under the direction of Chakri Toleti, will start its shooting in Hyderabad. The director has rewritten the script after Vishuvardhan, who directed the first instalment of the film and has opted out of the project. The story is about David's journey from an ordinary man to a don.
Delhi-based model Huma Qureshi will pair up Ajith Kumar in Billa 2. Bruna Abdullah is playing the second lead role in the film and Prabhu, Rahman, Krishnakumar are also in the cast. Suresh Balaje and George Pius are jointly producing the film.
Among the other technical cast, Yuvan Shankar Raja has been roped in to score the music and Hemant Chaturvedi is the director of photography.

ReplyDeleteTamil actor Ajith's Billa 2 , one of the costliest movies in Tamil Cinema, has two Telugu names - director Chakri Toleti and screenplay writer Sharat Mandava. So, naturally they want our audiences see their work. Hence, the film's producers have now decided to dub the movie instead of selling off remake rights to a Telugu producer.
Ajith Kumar's Billa was a blockbuster in Tamilnadu and this movie is prequel to that film. Chakri Toleti made debut as director with bilingual Eenadu starring Kamal Haasan and Venkatesh in lead roles.
Billa 2 has Parvathy Omanakuttan and Bruna Abdullah as heroines and it is set for release in May. Yuvan Shankar Raja is handling the music. The film has almost completed its shooting part.
