Felicitation function for KB?


 Appreciations and wishes continue to pour on Tamil cinemas veteran filmmaker K Balachander, who has been selected by the government of India for the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke award this year.
Buzz is that various associations of Tamil cinemas industry will come together to organise a grand function to felicitate Tamil cinemas  Balachander. “A decision in this regard will be taken after the Assembly election results are announced,” sources say. Within hours after the award was announced, his students, Tamil cinemas mass heros Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, greeted the master filmmaker. His other discoveries Tamil cinemas Prakashraj and Vivek too joined the list.
While Deputy Chief Minister M K Stalin and Union Minister M K Alagiri called on the ace director at his home, Chief Minister M Karunanidhi issued a statement wishing Balachander. And Balachander met the Chief Minister later, and sought his greetings.
On Sunday, members of the Tamil cinemas Producers Council called on Balachander and wished him for bringing home the coveted honour. Members of the directors’ association met him on Saturday.
